The Site offers a free tool that generates customizable employee handbook drafts from general U.S. policy templates, plus a California-specific overlay. Output may be downloaded as DOCX or PDF and edited freely.

The Site provides document templates and general information only. It is not legal advice, does not create an attorney-client relationship, and does not guarantee that any generated handbook complies with federal, state, or local law. Employment requirements vary by jurisdiction and change over time. You are solely responsible for having qualified counsel review any document before use.
Your content and ownership
Handbook drafts you create are generated locally in your browser and belong to you. You may use, edit, and distribute your generated documents without restriction from us. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the final documents you distribute.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site: no attempts to disrupt it, no scraping at abusive volumes, and no entering of sensitive personal data (employee names, Social Security numbers, medical information, or similar) into any field.
Availability and changes
The Site is provided as-is and as-available. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time. Policy content may be updated as sources change; your locally saved drafts are not modified without your action.
Limitation of liability

Governing terms
These Terms are the entire agreement regarding the Site. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
